Missed Link is a 3D animation film inspired by my personal experience of the relationship between me and my culture.The story is set in a fantasy world where our little character’s goal is to learn their culture from her elder and bring back the seasons.

Nowadays, more and more small cultures are disappearing as the new generation doesn’t care about them anymore. From a personal experience, I have lived outside of my home country since I was little, and so I don’t speak any home language. As I grow older, I feel a disconnect between myself and my culture. Every time time I tell people I’m from Malaysia, I have no sense of belonging. My connection with where I’m from is no more than a passport.
